Thirty-seven women recently came together for a prayer breakfast at the Lee’s Summit Church, sponsored by the church’s women’s ministries department.
Guest speakers Gail Coridan, women’s ministries director for the Iowa-Missouri Conference; and Peggy Wagley, an administrative assistant for the conference, shared with the group their love for Jesus and the importance of prayer. We were blessed with good food and great fellowship, sharing with one another the challenges we encounter while waiting for God’s answer to our prayers and discussing ways we can practice resting in God’s presence through a life of prayer.
We were given a prayer calendar to remind us to pray, with the names of two women to lift up in prayer listed for each day—more than 100 women in all. Please pray that God will bless our best efforts regarding this subject. We know He will, for He has promised.
