What started as a response to Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds’ statewide call to prayer on April 9 has turned into a weekly event for KPOG, an Adventist radio station in West Des Moines.

Station personnel, conference office staff, pastors from around the conference, area church members and other volunteers take turns bathing the airwaves in prayer for eight hours each Thursday (11:00 am – 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm CDT).

Thursday, May 7 is designated as a national day of prayer in the United States, and all are welcome to join us as we lift up one another, our communities, our nation and our world in prayer. Guest facilitators this week include North American Division prayer ministries director James Black from 1:00 – 1:30 pm, and NAD president Dan Jackson, along with his wife, Donna, from 7:00 – 7:30 pm.

If you’re in the Des Moines area, you can tune in to 102.9 FM on the radio. To listen live from anywhere, visit kpog.org or facebook.com/ChristianradioKPOG102.9. Prayer requests can be submitted by text at 515.442.KPOG (515.442.5764) or by email at prayers@kpog.org.
