After eight years of serving as principal and lower grades teacher at Des Moines Adventist School, Karma Roberts is retiring.
Having already had a career in Adventist Education, she came out of her first retirement in 2012 to serve the school, committing to only five years but blessing us with eight.
I have had the privilege to visit Karma’s classroom many times and always looked forward to seeing the excitement she created for her students. She worked tirelessly, developing lessons and activities that made learning fun and engaging for the youngest students of the school. She also helped to grow the school from 20 students to a current enrollment of 45, with many refugee students attending.
The quality of instruction Karma provided has set her students on a course for academic success and spiritual growth. We wish her well, and may God bless this next chapter of her life.
