The Houston church recently celebrated paying off the mortgage on their facility by holding a mortgage burning ceremony.
The mortgage was actually paid off last year, but a series of postponements due to weather and then the pandemic led to an extended delay.
Young people from the church’s Pathfinder club led out in the ceremony, with help from Pastor Brett Randall and church elder Al Foster. Through a slideshow and recitation of the church’s history, members reflected on the path God has led them down. They then ventured outdoors to burn the mortgage, followed by a delicious fellowship meal.
